The meals and service are par excellence, making it a restaurant where you can get value for your money. Since 2008, they have been serving award winning Guinness and boast 26 tap beers and featured weekly guest craft beer taps. Opening hours are 3 pm to 1 am Mondays to Fridays, and 11 am to 3 am on Saturdays. The restaurant remains closed on Sundays.

They have a unique method of dining known as stonegrill dining which has been recognized as one of the healthiest forms of cooking as it involves presenting the meals on a pre-heated volcanic stone. This method involves searing the meats without added fats or oils, just their natural juices and nutrients which enhances the flavor and tenderness of the meal.
D4 has a very impressive menu serving tapas, some sort of appetizers, that even come with a choice of 4 in a platter, starters, 4 selections of pizzas and 2 selections of the platters. The deli and fry platters are available from 3 pm. An interesting note is how their burgers are cooked with alcohol. They have The notorious burger and the double chance burger that have the beef patties roasted with whiskey and also the chicken burger has a Guinness and jalapeño cheese sauce.
You can get a classic caesar salad served in a wrap with fries or the phillies, an alternative to the burger, served on a baguette with a touch of capsicum, colby, pecorino, onion and cheese and served with the custom Guinness and jalapeño cheese sauce and fries. The stone grill comes in 4 quantities. Mini mix grill which is a combination of 60 grams of beef rump, chicken and the yummy blackened salmon.

The mini stones, a portion of 100 grams of either beef or chicken, medium stones of 200 grams of either of the 3 meats, beef, blackened salmon or chicken and finally, 400 grams of the prime cut of beef rump under the big stones portion. That motivated them to try their hand at brewing and it paid off as they have managed to create 3 brands, to pay homage to their Irish roots. They have their own Gin bar with a variety of over 80 bottles and have been recognized by Guinness NZ for serving Irish beer perfectly, to a point they got to host Guinness’ Master Brewer Fergal Murray at D4.
