About Dunsandel

Dunsandel is a small but thriving little village with a population of around 500 people and is within easy commuting distance to Christchurch and is at the heart of the local agricultural community. It’s home to the Dunsandel Store, a well known and quirky shop and post office. The main local attraction however is the nearby Lake Crichton Water Ski Park which offers water ski amenities and lessons for all levels from beginner to advanced.

Lake Crichton also hosts a number of triathlons and Duathlons every summer. The area is also great for cycling, hiking and walking as well as for other aquatic activities such as rowing, swimming and even dragon boat racing among many fun things to do.
