Housed at an old building in 1 Francis Street, Grey Lynn RSC has evolved to become a major social hub in the West Lynn Shopping Centre. This is a vibrant club that boasts of hosting a bar, bistro, and restaurant, all under one roof. It is open to receive visitors daily throughout the year.
The history of the club can be traced back to 1902 when the building used to serve as Grey Lynn School. It was changed into a picture movie club and later on served as a social club for the returning soldiers. It was fully incorporated in 1937 under the name Grey Lynn Returned Services and Social Club. From this history, it is clear that the club has been part and parcel of the city’s community.
