Rotorua Citizens Club held its first official meeting way back on November 24th 1926. This was in Colemans Building at the corner of Arawa and Tutanekai Street. For the next 37 years, this was the club’s official home.

In the early period of the club’s life, members enjoyed alcohol dispensed according to a locker system, how weird is that ! For leisure, there were 3 billiards tables and 6 cards tables. A reading room was also set up in the premises.

Over time, there was need for a bigger and better facility. Therefore, in 1963 the club moved to its new and present establishment. Development continued and the club’s premises expanded to some adjacent lots. By September 2011, the venue had grown to contain a club room, bar section, restaurant, leisure amenities, 18 accommodation rooms, an elevator and a laundry room.

At this club, members, guests and affiliates have access to a collection of activities which they can enjoy throughout the year. Top quality service is delivered and the club has grown to become a place where you can meet new people, enjoy events and embrace the company of others who share similar interests with you in a comfy environment.

There is a variety of rooms available. They include the Double Bed, Twin Room, Single Bed, Standard Room and the Single Room.
