About the Star Hotel Otahuhu
The hotel is located in the historic Otahuhu area of Auckland and has a long history dating back to the 1860s. It was a rest stop for journeys between Auckland and Waikato. The original hotel had two levels with an ornate staircase leading to the upper floor. It was put up for auction in 2009 by the Ranchod Group and is currently owned by Charles Hola.
On Monday, the bar is open from 11 am to 11 pm, on Sundays it is open from 9.30 am to 1 am the next day, and on other days of the week it is open from 9 am to late night 1 am the next day. On public holidays, the bar timings may vary so check with them. The bar has a gaming lounge for those who enjoy playing the pokies. It also has live sports on screens for customers who enjoy watching their favorite sports team.
