About the Hangar Henderson

It opens its doors from 11 am till late from Monday to Sunday. Of the seven days of the week, four have extra entertainment offerings. Tuesdays host quiz night from 7 pm besides having a 2 pizzas plus 2 house drinks offer running throughout the day. On Fridays you get to enjoy throwback jams all night with the party hour from 10 pm to 11 pm kick starting the night.

Saturday nights host Hangar bangars with DJ’s playing more current music selections. The first Wednesday of every month is Bingo night from 7 pm. You even get to make song requests during Bingo night.

The Hangar is located a stone’s throw away from The Trust Stadium making it the perfect spot to host pre-match and post-match functions. It has 4 function spaces ideal for different occasions. The Mezzanine, a floor that holds a private bar and lounge can host up to 120 people for standing cocktail functions and 50 people seated for dining. This is an ideal space for birthdays, company dinners or Christmas parties.

The Bethells Room is ideal for seminars or day time meetings. It can be set up in 3 different ways depending on the client’s needs. It can host up to 30 people and comes equipped with a board table, an option of a screen and projector and also a whiteboard. The Hangar also has an outdoor area for groups of 50 people, perfect for casual drinks with friends.

The kitchen team can organize platters, canapés or a full three course menu for your functions, according to your dietary requirements as long as you give advanced notice. Extras such as music and entertainment and beverages and bar tabs are all ordered to your specifications and at an extra cost. While booking for a space, a deposit will be required which will be refunded once you meet minimum spend.

The Food, drinks and eats of note

At the Hangar, their menu is divided into 3 sections; drinks, food and kids’ menu. The food menu has smalls, which is more like snacks, the stone grill section that serves grilled beef, chicken, lamb or prawns, all served with a sauce and two choices of the sides menu. There are mains, pizza (best in Auckland), platters, burgers (best in Henderson) plus sandwiches and desserts are all great. All meals are available in gluten free and dairy free options can be enjoyed – just ask.

The kids’ menu at The Hangar has chicken nuggets, mini hot dogs, to name a few, all served with fries or salad. The kids’ dessert is simple as it only has ice cream sundae and hot fudge cake. A combo of 1 main, 1 dessert and 1 kids’ fizzy drink or juice is also available.

Drinks served at The Hangar include white wine, cocktails, shakers, red wine, tap beer, bottled beer, bottled low alcoholic beer, cider and non-alcoholic beverages like juices, soft drinks, coffee and tea. Being a big bar the tapped beer has heaps of options available for customers.
