The Rusty Pelican is famous for it’s pizza but it has heaps of other great food dishes available also. It’s located at 1001 Matakana Rd, Matakana, Auckland, New Zealand. It was established in 1998 where it was turned from a local service station into one of the finest pizzeria restaurants in Matakana or in Auckland from all reviews and our own personal experiences.
A few years later, it was sold and then in 2007, Daniel Baturic, the original owner of the restaurant, together with his business partner Stu Wells, repurchased the restaurant and went on to establish the original idea of providing people with pizzas that are to die for and hearty meals making it once more the best pizza restaurant in the area.
